What keeps us hooked to fashion is the new take on trends every season. Aside from the actual cuts and colors appearing on the runway, prints on all types of fabrics capture imagination and define season mood. Currently we are living through a print renaissance, a more is more mentality. 2018/2019 had a few prevailing PRINT TRENDS, that I would like to take you through

Animal Print:It has been an undeniable trend “du jour”; snakeskin, leopard, cow skin, zebra and tiger… it’s a zoo out there! Animal print has always been there to the adventurous dressers; the distinctions for FW18 was noticed in the way prints are mixed together. Same print worn from head to toe in either the classic natural colors or with a slight tilt from what is normally expected, Like; Vibrant ruby red leopard or neon yellow zebra! Or mixed animal prints worn in the same outfit.

Scarf Print:Those who know me, know my deep love for scarves and their multi functionality. What’s new here is that Scarves are worn as clothing not accessory, Some designers utilized the scarf prints for ensembles from head to toe same print, some opted for the mix and match and others chose dark earth tone colors for a more polished look.

Check, Plaid, and Tartan:Though this trend has been associated with the old fashioned, it had a strong comeback and has dominated Spring 2018. Designers brought a bright and colorful interpretation offering it in unexpected ways, peeking underneath pleats or under sheer fabric, in bold colors and bolder designs, sometimes worn as a well- matched set others as mix and match in colors and prints. Versace played this print in captivating colors.

Logo Mania:Though it has always been considered as tacky and tasteless to wear logo prints from head to toe, lots of brands are reviving their vintage logo and prints from the 90’. Gucci and Fendi were big on this trend. To stay true to myself, I have to say I never was a fan of this trend nor will I ever be, cause I don’t appreciate seeing people being used as a walking marketing campaign for brands. Therefore I’ll pass on this one!

Tie–Dye & Acid Wash:SS19 was so big on this hippie trend, some designers found new and unique ways to use this fabric dyeing technique to achieve modern effects and elegant tie- dye, while others brought the 60’ rainbow color’s, We saw this trend even at Dior and Prada.
